DUSHANBE, July 19, 2011, Asia-Plus  -- Following a business forum that was held in Dushanbe in late June, Kazakh enterprises intend to sign export contracts with Tajik companies for more than 13 million U.S. dollars, the press center of Kazakhstan’s National Export and Investment Agency (JSC KAZNEX INVEST) reports.

Kazakh companies are ready to supply transformers, storage batteries, dry building blends, paints and varnishes, pharmaceutical products, paper products, confectioneries, butter, mayonnaise, and chicken meat to Tajikistan.

According to the KAZNEX INVEST press center, a number of agreements for a total number of 5.5 million U.S. dollars were signed in Dushanbe during the business forum.

Joint-stock company (JSC) Rza from Qizilorda oblast will supply rise to Tajikistan, Barys 2007 from South Kazakhstan oblast will supply macaroni and ZHERSU POWER from Almaty oblast will supply storage batteries to Tajikistan.

Kazakhstan’s largest enterprise of electric industry, JSC Alageum Electric, plans to open its representative office in Tajikistan and Kazakh petrochemical equipment producer, Munaiaspap, is currently conducting negotiations on constructing a plant in Tajikistan.   

According to KAZNEX INVEST, a two-way trade between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in 2010 amounted to 1.2 billion U.S. dollars.
