DUSHANBE, February 14, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Senior representatives from the administration of the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) SUGHD have got acquainted with work on introducing a number of enterprises into operation this year.
According to the FEZ SUGHD press center, deputy Sughd governor, Mubinjon Qayumov, and deputy Khujand mayor, Ibrohim Ibrohimov, have visited joint-tock company (JSC) Sirandoud, limited liability companies Ravzana Plastic and Kristall Mozaik as well as joint ventures Silkcoat Boay and Star Plast.
The source says the FEZ SUGHD this year plans to introduce eight new industrial enterprises into operation on the basis of the joint ventures Silkcoat Boay and Star Plast. “Additional technological lines will be launched that will allow organizing production of new types of products,” he added.
We will recall that Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Umed Davlatzoda, told Asia-Plus on February 1 that the Tajik-Turkish join venture, Silkcoat Boya, will begin to produce output in early March this year.
Launched by Tajik limited liability company, Fortuna-Co, and Turkish company, Silkcoat Duvar Kaplamalari Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi, the enterprise produces paint-and-lacquer materials.
“The enterprise’s output will be sold not only in domestic market, it will also be exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan,” the deputy minister said.
To-date, 18 entities with potential investment projects for a total amount of 52 million U.S. dollars have been registered in FEZ SUGHD.
