DUSHANBE, October 15, 2012 Asia-Plus  - A two-day conference on the integration of Central Asia into the World trade kicked off at the Bahoriston resort area of Qairoqqum in Sughd province on October 15.

The event is organized by the Austrian international organization Hilfswerk Austria International in cooperation with the German Society on International Cooperation GIZ (Program on regional economic cooperation assistance in Central Asia) and the Administration of Free Economic Zone (FEZ) “Sughd” in the framework of the project Integrated approach towards promoting Central Asia nuts, dried fruits and honey processing SMEs financed by the European Union.

The goal of the conference is reportedly to discuss the development of mechanisms of Central Asian economic cooperation.  Alongside with that, during the conference attention will be paid to the issue of harmonization of national legislations to international norms and regulations.

Representatives of relevant state structures, private sector, international and local organizations are participating at the conference.

The conference is being accompanied by an exhibition of food products of local producers.
