DUSHANBE, December 27, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev himself has headed a special commission to coordinate operations of municipal facilities, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the mayor’s office, said.
The commission was set up yesterday and the mayor reportedly ordered to organize the round-the-clock duty of heads of municipal facilities during winter period in order to prevent possible emergencies that may result from cold weather and heavy snowfalls.
All municipal engineering and machines have been made ready for clearing roads of snow the spokesman added.
