KHUJAND, February 4, 2015, Asia-Plus -- A land reform that was launched in the northern Sughd province last year will be continued this year.

According to the Sughd regional administration, the land reform and large farm restructuring program provides for splitting up agricultural cooperatives and large farming units into individual and family farms.

450 large farming units are expected to be restructured in the province this year, the source said.

We will recall that 2,968 large farming units were restructured in northern Tajikistan last year.  They were reportedly split up into 37,000 individual and family farms.
