DUSHANBE, February 7, Asia-Plus -- The cold weather is likely to stick in Tajikistan till mid-February, Mahmad Safarov, deputy director of the Hydrometeorology Agency, told Asia-Plus Wednesday afternoon.
According to him, snowfalls with short intervals will continue till February 11, it will remain cold and temperatures will drop below – 13 Celsius at nights.
Safarov added that storms had dumped up to 72 centimeters of snow on the Anzob pass, 1.34 meters in the Maykhura area, 43 centimeters in Rasht and 52 centimeters in Khovaling.
