KHUJAND, August 25, Asia-Plus -- Three suicide cases were reported in the northern Sughd province on August 24 alone.
According to press service of the Sughd police directorate, two suicide cases were reported in the Konibodom districts, where two men, the 32-year-old Sotir Ashrapov and the 45-year-old Bahodur Toshmatov, committed suicide by self-hanging.
The third cases were registered in the Kistakuz jamoat of the Bobojonghafurov district, where the 20-yer-old student at Khujand State University Shoira Usmonova killed herself by taking handful of pills.
They were motivated by family and economic problems, the source said.
Besides, two fatal accidents were reported in northern Tajikistan last Sunday.
The two-year baby Isroil Maqsoudov in the Bobojonghafurov district, left unattended drunk gasoline and died of intoxication.
The other fatal accident took place in the Spitamen district, where the 54-year-old Nasim Turdiyev died on spot after a metal beam fall over him at a building site in the settlement of Nov.
