DUSHANBE, September 2, Asia-Plus -- 27 fires were reported in Tajikistan last week and damage caused by them amounted to a total of 16,000 somonis, according to the main firefighting directorate within the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
“The fries were caused mainly by electrical malfunction, careless use of electrical and gas appliances,” the source at the main firefighting directorate said.
“Thus, as a result of electrical malfunction, a fire broke out in an administrative office of Tajik Aluminum Company (Talco) in Tursunzoda on August 25, damaging 12 square meters,” the source said.
Besides, as a result of children’s prank 26 kilograms of cotton were destroyed by a fire in the farming unit Surkhchashma.
