QURGHON TEPPA, September 19, 2008, Asia-Plus -- 47 traffic accidents have been reported in the southern Khatlon province since the beginning of this year, Yormahamd Davlatov, and official with the Khatlon traffic police directorate, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, 19 persons have been killed and 61 others have been wounded in those accidents.
To prevent violation of traffic regulation, the Khatlon traffic police launched operation, dubbed Bus, on September 15. The operation will last till September 25.
