DUSHANBE, September 24, 2008, Asia-Plus  -- A powerful explosion rocked the western part of Dushanbe Tuesday evening. 

The explosion occurred as a Chinese-made economy seven-seater minivan, known among the population as “tangem,” ran into a gasoline tank truck.  No injured was reported.  

The accident took place in the area near the Dousti market, Dushanbe’s Sino district at around 8:05 p.m.  As a result of fire caused by the collision, the minivan, the tank truck and two other cars were burnt down.  

According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the preliminary investigation has established that the minivan driver, a 19-year-old Shuhrat Usmonov, is guilty of the accident.  Fortunately, nobody suffered, according to the source.     

As a result of the explosion, electricity supplies to two microryaons of Dushanbe had been cut off for two hours.
