DUSHANBE, December 29, 2008, Asia-Plus -- A mild quake measuring 3.—4.0 on a 12-point scale jolted Dushanbe today morning, at around 8:38 a.m., according to the Dushanbe seismological station.
5.0 magnitude tremor was centered in the territory of Afghanistan some 275 kilometers southeast of Dushanbe.
The quake could be felt in other regions of the country as well. Thus in Norak, the tremor magnitude was 3.0 on a 12-point scale.
No damage or injured was reported from the quake, according to the source.
