KHUJAND, April 1, 2009, Asia-Plus -- Chinese builder was killed on March 31 as a car turned over in Sughd’s Ayni district.
According to the Sughd traffic police department, the accident took place in the area of Dashti Iskodar, the 6th kilometer of the road from Ayni to Panjakent.
“A 29-year-old Shu Wi (phonetically spelled), who worked for Chinese company rehabilitating the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak road, probably could not control the car and it turned over,” said the source. “The driver with serious injuries was taken to the Ayni central district hospital, where he died from the injuries sustained in the accident.”
The Ayni prosecutor’s office has instituted proceedings to investigate the accident.
