Dushanbe. June 18. “Asia-Plus” -- 1mln 640,847 Somoni have been transferred on June 16 to Amonatbonk state-owned saving bank’s special accounts for disaster affected victims from Khatlon area, press service of the bank told the AP.
Additionally, 50,000 Russian rubles, nearly 226,000 USD and 5000 EUR or 1mln 247,886 Somoni, have been transferred to these accounts, press service has said.
According to the source, collection of funds for disaster affected victims is still under way.
Tens of people have been killed, thousands of houses, tens of municipal buildings and hundreds kilometers of roads have been destroyed as a result of floods and mudflows, which hit Khatlon area of Tajikistan on May 6-7 this year.
