A 46-year-old resident of the Sufiyon village, which is subordinate to the northern city of Panjakent, has been arrested on suspicion of killing his son-in-law, according to the Interior Ministry’s website.
The man found stabbed to death on the Ayni-Panjakent road in the Khalifai Hasan jamoat of Panjakent On March 1 at around 8:00 pm has been identified as a 31-year-old resident of Panjakent (police did not give his name).
His father-in-law, the 46-year-old resident of the Sufiyon village (police did not give his name), was detained on the same day on suspicion of killing his son-in-law.
The preliminary investigation has reportedly established that the man being in a state of drunkenness inflicted fatal stab wound on his son-in-law on March 1 at 7:30 pm following family quarrel.
Criminal charges have been instituted against suspected murderer and an investigation is under way.
