On the roads of Tajikistan, 5 people were killed and two were injured in two road accidents, reported on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
On the Dushanbe-Khujand highway in the Ayni district, the driver of the Dulan car, 35-year-old Abdullo Davlatov, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Hyundai car driven by 54-year-old Munavvar Rajabzoda.
As a result, both drivers and a passenger of the Hyundai car, 49-year-old Laylo Makhmudova, were killed at the scene. Two more passengers of "Dulan" and "Hyundai" were injured and were hospitalized.
In another case, in the center of Dangara district, 25-year-old Samariddin Saydaliev could not cope with control and crashed into a concrete fence.
As a result, two passengers - local residents, 26-year-old Jonibek Gulomov and Ramazon Kholov died from their injuries in the hospital.
According to a WHO study, the death rate in road traffic accidents in Tajikistan is 19 people annually for every one hundred thousand population. This is the highest rate in Central Asia.
