Tajik authorities have reportedly denied participation of its three citizens in the terrorist attack in the Russian city of Krasnogorsk.

The First Channel News reported on March 23 that Tajikistan's Foreign Ministry “has denied the involvement of the country's citizens in the terrorist attack in Moscow.”

“To media representatives,

“Regarding the recent terrorist incident at Crocus City Hall concert complex in Moscow, we urge the responsible handling of information regarding the alleged involvement of Tajik citizens or individuals from Tajikistan.

“It's crucial to note that the Tajik authorities have not received official confirmation from Russian authorities regarding the circulating false information implicating Tajik citizens. Thus, we strongly advise relying on material released by Russian government agencies that is officially sanctioned," the Tajik MFA said, according to the First Channel News.

As emphasized, it's important to consider that spreading unverified and unreliable information could potentially harm Tajik citizens currently abroad.

Besides, Tajikistan’s Interior Ministry said that the information spread by Russian media outlets that the Bryansk Police Directorate put two citizens of Tajikistan – Rivojiddin Islomov, 51, and Mahmadrasoul Nasriddinov, 37, (both are residents of Jaloliddin-Balkhi district in Khatlon province) on wanted list on suspicion of being involved in the Krasnogorsk terrorist attack is unfounded.

The abovementioned reportedly returned from Russia to Tajikistan on November 26, 2023 and citizens returned from Russia to Tajikistan on November 26, 2023 and since then, they have they been located at their place of residence.

The third citizen of Tajikistan, Rustam Nazarov, native of the city of Bokhtar, the capital of Khatlon province, works as a taxi driver in the Russian city of Samara. During the terrorist attack he was in Samara and is not involved into the attack, the Tajik Interior Ministry said.
