Two suspects detained in connection with killing of woman and her three children in Daryobod village
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan announced on September 13, that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of four members of the Ibrohimov family in the village of Daryobod, located in the Roudaki district.
According to the Ministry, the suspects — identified as S.N. and A.S., both previously convicted and residents of the same village — broke into the Ibrohimov household with the intent to rob. When they realized the family had discovered them, they allegedly killed the mother and her three children in a violent attack.
“The suspects are currently in custody at a temporary detention facility. The criminal investigation is ongoing and being handled by the Prosecutor’s Office,” the Interior Ministry stated on its official website.
No further details about the case have been disclosed at this time.
The tragic incident occurred during the night of September 5 to 6. Shahlo Nazarova, a 44-year-old woman, and her three children — Habiba (a high school senior), Homida (eighth grade), and Sharaf (sixth grade) — were murdered in their home.
The father, Halim Ibrohimov, was working abroad in Russia when the crime occurred. After being unable to reach his wife by phone, he asked neighbors to check on the family. Upon entering the home, the neighbors found the body of the boy with his hands and feet bound and his mouth taped shut. Police were called and later discovered the bodies of Shahlo and her two daughters in other rooms of the house.

The crime became publicly known only on September 8. Until September 13, authorities had not released any official information. The Interior Ministry previously told Asia-Plus that “the investigation is ongoing, and details are being withheld to avoid interfering with the process.”
A correspondent from our outlet visited Daryobod on September 10. The murder of the entire family has left the local community in shock and fear.
