The Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, Ramazon Rahimzoda, has held phone talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, during which he urged a comprehensive investigation into the murder of 10-year-old Tajik boy Qobiljon Aliyev at a school in Odintsovo, Moscow region, and called for a full understanding of the causes and circumstances of the incident.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, during the conversation, Rahimzoda emphasized that "such crimes not only shock society but can also be exploited by radical nationalist groups to promote violence and provoke further similar crimes."

"Rahimzoda demanded that the Russian side conduct a thorough, careful, and objective investigation, identify all causes, and hold those responsible accountable," the statement said.

In response, Kolokoltsev reportedly assured that criminal proceedings had been instituted regarding the murder of the boy in Russia and that all necessary measures were being taken to ensure a fair investigation, which is being conducted under strict supervision.
