DUSHANBE, April 17, Asia-Plus -- A 35-year-old citizen of Afghanistan Muhammad Said Amriddin was arrested in Dushanbe at the end of the last week on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking.
According to information from the Interior Ministry department for combating drug trafficking (drug police), he was detained in the Dushanbe district of Ismoili Somoni with 1.6 kilograms of hashish.
“When searching apartment the Afghan was renting drug police found four kilograms of cannabis,” said the source, “The apartment holder Zoir Beknazarov and his brother Tolibjon were intending to push this amount of drugs in Dushanbe.” The Beknazarov brothers are currently wanted by police, according to the source.
