DUSHANBE, May 29, Asia-Plus -- On Friday May 26, Tajikistan’s Supreme Court completed consideration of criminal proceedings instituted against a 25-year-old resident of Tursunzoda Dilshod Mahmadiyev, charged with raping minor, and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
According to information from the Tajik Supreme Court, Dilshod Mahmadiyev had two previous convictions. His last crime Dilshod Mahmadiyev committed on January 29 this year, four days after release from jail. Being in a state of drunkenness, he enticed an 11-year-old girl into his apartment and raped her.
Taking into account Mahamdiyev’s previous convictions and gravity of the last crime, judge Anvarjon Ahmadov, who took in the trial, passed a life imprisonment on Dilshod Mahmadiyev.
