DUSAHNBE, August 30, Asia-Plus -- Chairman of Tajikistan’s Supreme Court Izbillo Khojayev along with his counterparts from other member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will take part at the SCO supreme court chairmen’s meeting to focus on further expansion of cooperation between the SCO states in the field of jurisprudence.
Mr. Khojayev said in his interview with Asia-Plus that the meeting would take place in Shanghai from September 20-22.
According to him, the main objective this meeting is in working out a mechanism of cooperation in fighting transnational crime and strengthening interaction between justice institutions of the SCO member nations in countering terrorism and extremism.
The meeting also aims to consider issues related to a role of judicial bodies in social development, providing public order and justice.
The meeting participants are supposed to include more than 50 representatives from judicial systems of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
