DUSHANBE, December 21, Asia-Plus - The trial of the former chief of Tajik border troops’ organizational-mobilization department, Emomali Zaynalov, is continuing in the Military Board of the Supreme Court.
A source at the Supreme Court said that Zaynalov faces charges of abuse of office, bribery, document forgery, etc.
Zaynalov had served as chief of the organizational-mobilization department of Tajik border service since 2004. Before than he had been chief of the Khatlon regional military recruitment office and chief of the organizational-mobilization department of the defense ministry.
He was detained in August 2006 and the main military prosecutor’s office investigated this case.
The trial of Zaynalov began a week ago. Judge Nadezhda Marinina is taking in the trial.
