DUSHANBE, May 29, Asia-Plus - Dismembered body found in microrayon 63 of Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district has been identified as Dushanbe resident Aleksandr Korostylyov.
A reliable source at the ministry of interior (MoI) said that a 20-year-old Yevgeny Korostylyov had been arrested on suspicion of having killed his brother. “Yevgeny Korostylyov confessed to having killed his brother Aleksandr,” the source said.
According to the source, the preliminary investigation established that on the night of May 22-23, being in a state of drunkenness, Yevgeny Korostylyov stabbed his brother to death following quarrel. “In order to cover up traces he dismembered the body and dumped fragments of the body in the microrayon,” the source said.
As it had been reported earlier, fragments of dismembered man were found in microrayon 63 of Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district last Wednesday (May 23) morning.
The source noted that there is no kink between this crime and the crime reported in March, when fragments (head, left hand and a part of right hand) of dismembered body of man were discovered at the fence of Botanical Gardens in Dushanbe on March 23. Thereby police ruled out the possibility that maniac killer is being active in Dushanbe.
We will recall that when police began investigating a May 23 killing, the source at the Dushanbe prosecutor’s office said that it could not be ruled out that that is handwork of maniac killer.
