DUSHANBE, August 9, Asia-Plus — A prosecutor’s office in the northern city of Chkalovsk has completed investigation into case of Mr. Qodirov, deputy head physician of local hospital, who is charged with untargeted use of humanitarian aid, and the case has moved to the city court.
The source at the Chkalovsk prosecutor’s office told Asia-Plus that this case was revealed in May this year. “Head nurse of the local hospital has also been detained on suspicion of having been involved in misappropriation of the humanitarian aid provided to the hospital by international organizations,” said the source, “But criminal case against her was dropped as she was granted amnesty.”
Investigation has established that the deputy head physician and the head nurse illegally distributed a large bulk of medicines for a total amount of more than $42,000 among their colleagues, according to the source.
