DUSHANBE, April 9, Asia-Plus - The Supreme Court sentenced Fayzali Aminov, an officer from the Agency fro State Financial Control and Combating Corruption, to seven years in prison on April 8.
The court ruled that he should serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony. The sentence followed his conviction on charges of criminal abuse of office.
The source at the Supreme Court said that Aminov had beat Zafar Qurbonov, the resident of Khatlon''s Qubodiyon district, who is charged with giving bribe, to coerce confession from him.
