DUSHANBE, September 3, Asia-Plus -- A large consignment of counterfeit beer has been intercepted in northern Tajikistan.
According to press service of Tajikistan’s Customs Service, officers from the Sughd customs directorate seized a large consignment of counterfeit beer Cooler and Baltika, totaling some 16,000 bottles, in the Bobojonghafurov district on September 2.
This consignment for a total amount of more than 80,000 somonis was shipped into Tajikistan from Kyrgyzstan without appropriate accompanying forms, the source, noting that the Sughd transportation prosecutor’s office instituted criminal proceedings against the consignment owner.
