KHUJAND, January 24, 2009, Asia-Plus -- 40 residents of the northern Sughd province, whose names are put on the internationally wanted list, were detained in the CIS states last year, according to the Sughd police directorate.
Six of them have already been transferred to the province.
Over the report period, officers from the Sughd police directorate revealed and detained 415 of 1.028 criminals wanted by police for different crimes and found 125 of 207 persons who have been reported missing, the source said.
