KHUJAND, September 2, 2009, Asia-Plus -- An operation, dubbed Koftukov (Search), carried out by the Interior Ministry criminal investigation directorate and the criminal investigation unit within the Khujand police department reportedly led to the arrest of two residents of the province put on the international wanted list in Moscow.
According to the Sughd police directorate, the 25-year-old Parviz Ochilov faces fraud charge and the 46-year-old Abdutolib Usmonov charged with drug trafficking were detained in Moscow in late August and transported to Dushanbe.
The Koftukov operation was carried out from August 15 to August 25 this year, the source said.
