DUSHANBE, September 2, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Four residents of the southern city of Kulob have been detained on suspicion of setting fire at the home of famous Tajik singer Surayo Qosimova.
According to the Interior Ministry’s official website, they are Ms. Muhayo Qosimova, 24, Ms. Matlouba Ahrorova, 32, Ms. Muzayan Beknazarova, 44, and Mr. Jumakhon Ahrorova, 27. Part of stolen jewelry has reportedly been confiscated from them.
We will recall that 24,000 U.S. dollars worth of jewelry were stolen from Surayo Qosimova’s home in Kulob on July 25. The criminals set fire to the home in order to cover their tracks.
