QURGHON TEPPA, July 22, 2016, Asia-Plus – Assistant prosecutor from the Jaihun district in Khatlon province faces bribery charge.
“Assistant prosecutor D. Kholzoda, entering into collusion with Sh. Nazarov, the driver of the chief prosecutor in the Jaihun district, took 8,300 somoni from local resident for assistance in investigation in favor of one of suspects,” Jamoliddin Muhammadzoda, the chief of the anticorruption agency’s office in Khatlon province, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Kholzoda and Nazarov were reportedly caught red-handed while taking bribe. Criminal proceedings have been instituted against them and an investigation is under way.
