A court in Khatlon province has sentenced 24-year-old Yulduz Bozorova, a resident of Khatlon’s Qubodiyon district, to 28 years in prison for stabbing her three children, an official source in the Khatlon regional court told Asia-Plus in an interview.
Bozorova was reportedly found guilty under Article 104 (2) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code - murder with aggravating circumstances.
The court clarified that the verdict has not yet entered into legal force and may be appealed.
According to case materials, the incident occurred on the night of June 21, 2025, when Bozorova stabbed her six-month-old daughter and her two sons, aged 4 and 5. The children were hospitalized with serious injuries.
On July 5, the infant girl died in intensive care, while her brothers recovered and were later discharged.
Bozorova reportedly also attempted to stab herself but sustained only minor injuries.
Authorities have not disclosed the motives behind the attack.
