Governor of Sughd province Kohir Rasulzoda met today with Belarusian Ambassador to Tajikistan Olga Gavruk. The meeting resulted in signing of Agreement of Cooperation between Sughd province of Tajikistan and Vitebsk District of Belarus in trade and economic, scientific and cultural spheres.
K.Rasulzoda said that visit of Belarusian ambassador to the North of Tajikistan is an important step towards rehabilitation of previous relations which will contribute to the development of cooperation between Belarus and Tajikistan, the Governor’s press service reported. Engineering industry, furniture sector, leather processing and light industry were outlined as priority directions for cooperation. Ambassador Olga Gavruk said that Belarus is one of the leading producers of agricultural machinery and is ready to cooperate in this sector.
The sides showed their interest in strengthening of scientific and cultural cooperation and discussed opportunities for establishment of cooperation between the two regions of the two countries.
The visiting Belarusian Ambassador also visited Javoni and Satn companies, Kolinhoi Kairokkum company, Sughd company and visited historical places of Khujand.
