International conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Tajik-Russian diplomatic relations will open today in the Russian Science and Culture Center in Dushanbe.
The conference is organized by the Russian embassy and Russian Cooperation Agency in Tajikistan, Tajikistan-Russian public society and Friends of Russia public movement.
Conference participants will discuss development of partner relations and cooperation in cultural and humanitarian sphere, scientific sphere, problems and perspectives of economic cooperation at modern stage.
Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Yuri Popov, representatives of ministries and departments, governmental, international and public organizations are expected to attend the conference.
Diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Russian were established on April 8, 1992.
