DUSHANBE, September 4, 2012, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday September 4, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon visited the Indian city of Bangalore.
According to the president’s official website, Emomali Rahmon held talks with Karnataka governor Hansraj Bhardwaj.
Issues related to bilateral cooperation in sectors like engineering industry, electrical appliance manufacturing, and textile industry were the focus of the meeting, the source said.
While in Bangalore, Tajik president visited Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Infosys Technologies Limited.
Based in Bangalore, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is one of Asia''s largest aerospace companies. Under the management of the Indian Ministry of Defence, this state-owned company is mainly involved in aerospace industry, which includes manufacturing and assembling aircraft, navigation and related communication equipment, as well as operating airports.
Infosys Limited, is an Indian multinational provider of business consulting, technology, engineering and outsourcing services company. It is headquartered in Bangalore
