DUSHANBE, July 14, 2013, Asia-Plus – Tajik Ambassador to Qatar, Mr. Ardasher Qodiri, met in Doha, Qatar with Qatari Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ali bin Fahd al-Hajri, on July 11, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
The sides reportedly discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar.
Mr. Ali bin Fahd al-Hajri, in particular, noted that Qatar attached significance to cooperation with friendly Tajikistan.
The two also discussed preparations for the High-Level International Conference on Water Cooperation that is expected to take place in Dushanbe from August 20-21 this year.
Tajik diplomat invited the Qatari side to actively participate in the conference.
The sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interest, the Tajik MFA information department said.
