DUSHANBE, September 2, 2013, Asia-Plus – The Central Election Commission declared that presidential candidates must collect signatures from 210 thousand voters, which is about 5 percent of the electorate.
The head of the Election Commission, Shermuhammad Shahian, told during press-conference on 31 August that collection of signatures for presidential candidates will continue until 7 October.
Furthermore, Mr. Shahian reported that 68 electoral districts have been created for presidential elections in the country.
