DUSHANBE, May 29, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon yesterday visited Bahrain National Museum, accompanied by Works Minister Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reports.

The Tajik leader was received by Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al-Khalifa, who stressed Bahrain''s keen interest in promoting cultural relations with Tajikistan and other Asian states, as Manama is being celebrated as Capital of Asian Tourism for 2014.

President Emomali Rahmon toured different sections of the museum, hailing Bahrain''s deep-rooted millennia-old heritage.

The Tajik leader then visited Beit Al-Quran where he was received by the founder Abdullatif Jassim Kanoo who briefed him on different parts of the iconic monument, including Al-Furqan Library, the Mohammed bin Khalifa Conference auditorium, Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Quranic School and the Abdulrahman Jassim Kanoo Mosque.   President Emomali Rahmon signed the visitors'' register and offered Beit Al-Quran copies of the holy book in Tajik language.
