DUSHANBE, June 6, 2014, Asia-Plus – A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Tajikistan and Turkey’s Diplomatic Academy has been signed in Dushanbe.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, the document was inked on June 5 by Sirojiddin Aslov, Foreign Minister of Tajikistan and Mesut Ozcan, Director, Diplomatic Academy, MFA of Turkey.

After the document-signing ceremony, the sides reportedly issues related to cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries and training of diplomatic personnel for Tajikistan.

Established in 1967, Turkey’s Diplomatic Academy is committed to the perfection of Turkish career diplomats as well as civil servants from national state institutions who will serve at the Turkish diplomatic missions abroad.  At the international level, young career diplomats from countries all around the world are invited each year for special training programs conducted in a multicultural setting.  By designing programs in a wide array of disciplines which encompass diplomacy, international relations, economics, regional and multilateral affairs, negotiation techniques and protocol matters, the Academy aims to provide the highest quality of standards to its trainees.
