DUSHANBE, October 29, 2014, Asia-Plus -- A new Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan has been appointed.
According to the Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe, Hojatollah Faghani was appointed a new Ambassador to Tajikistan, replacing Ali Asgar-Sherdoust.
Hojatollah Faghani will take up his appointment during the next month.
Hojatollah Faghani had previously served as the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
We will recall that Ali Asgar-Sherdoust’s tenure to Tajikistan ended in October last year and Seyed Mahmoud Sadri served as a caretaker Ambassador of the Islamic Iran to Tajikistan for more than a year.
