DUSHANBE , March 27, Asia-Plus - On Monday March 27, President Emomali Rahmonov met in Dushanbe with Mr. Ronald Leman, Chairman of the Board of Managers of the International Scientific-Technical Center (ISTC).   

Mr. Muhabbatsho Hikmatov, manager of the ISTC regional office, has told Asia-Plus that in the course of the talks the two discussed issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the International Scientific-Technical Center .   

The International Scientific-Technical Center was established in 1992 under agreement between the United States , Russia , the European Union and Japan .  Tajikistan joined the Center in 2003.  President of Tajikistan ’s National Academy of Sciences Mamadsho Ilolov and director of the Agency for Nuclear and Radiation Security at the Tajik Academy of Sciences Ulmas Mirsaidov are members of the ISTC’s coordination committee on the part of Tajikistan .
