DUSHANBE, August 21, Asia-Plus -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov has sent a telegram of congratulations to his Afghan counterpart, President Hamid Karzai, on occasion of the 87 th anniversary of Afghanistan’s Independence, presidential press service reported.
In his telegram, President Rahmonov, in particular, noted that Tajikistan was satisfied with the fact that friendly Afghanistan overcoming difficulties and problems was achieving stability and security, establishment of democratic values and revival of rehabilitation of vitally significant structures.
The telegram also notes that implementation of signed agreements and long-term cooperation programs meet national interests and strategic tasks of the two friendly countries, stability and progress in the region.
