DUSHANBE, October 30, Asia-Plus -- On Saturday October 28, a session of the Town-Planning Council presided over by Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev endorsed a design by Iranian architects for a 25-story high rise that will be built in the Nemat Qaraboyev Street.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said the complex will consists of three buildings: a 25-story bloc in the center and two 23-story blocs from the sides. According to him, the complex with an overall space of 76,000 square meters will house apartments, shopping center, offices, computer center, as well a restaurants, including the revolving one. The building will have sports ground with, tennis court, swimming pools and sauna and underground garage.
An estimated budget for the construction of this building is 60 million U.S. dollars. The construction is expected to start at the end of this year and be finished in 2011. Tajik-Iranian company Somon-Sabo and the company Al-Taufiq from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will fund the construction of this complex, according to the mayoral spokesman.
