DUSHANBE, December 4, Asia-Plus - Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has announced a competition to fill a position of head of the culture department in the mayor’s office.   

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said Shamsiddin Nuriddinov, the head of the department for religious affairs, had been appointed acting head of the culture department. 

The competition will last till January 4, 2007, according the spokesman. 

We will recall that the Dushanbe culture department head Mirzoshorukh Asrorov was appointed Minister of Culture.
