DUSHANBE, December 4, Asia-Plus -- On Saturday December 2, Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov introduced new chairman of the Sughd province.
By president’s edict Qosim Qosimov was relieved of his post of Chairman of Sughd Province in connection with transfer to other job, presidential press service said. Qosimov had been governor of the Sughd province for 11 years.
He was replaced by Abduqohir Nazirov, who had previously been Minister of Land Reclamation and Water Resources.
Asia-Plus’ Mavluda Rafiyeva in Khujand reported that a plenum of the Sughd organization of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan (PDPT) that was held in Khujand on December 2 elected Qosim Qosimov chairman of the PDPT organization for Sughd.
