DUSHANBE, May 16, Asia-Plus - Issues related to socioeconomic development of Gorno Badakhshan were discussed at a May 15 meeting presided over by Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov, presidential press service said.

On May 6-11, a government working group was in Gorno Badakhshan to study a progress of construction of dormitory for students at Khorog State University and Youth Center, as well as reconstruction of Khorog theatre named after Mehrubon Nazarov and central stadium, and renovation of the regional hospital in Khorog.  

On May 17, a government delegation led by PM Oqilov will leave for Khorog to closely monitor the situation in the region.
