DUSHANBE, July 4, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon has sent a telegram of congratulations to U.S. President George W. Bush on occasion of U.S. Independence Day (July the Fourth), presidential press service said.

In his telegram, President Rahmon noted that Tajikistan is interested in further expansion of many-sided cooperation with the United States.   

In the United States, Indepedence Day  (commonly known as "the Fourth of July", or "July the Fourth") is a federal holiday celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Indepedence on July 4, 1776, declaring indepdence from Great Britain.
