DUSHANBE, October 12, Asia-Plus -- On Friday October 12, Saydullo Khairulloyev, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) met with Ambassador Vladimir Pryakhin, Head of the OSCE Center in Dushanbe, to discuss cooperation issues.
Muhammadato Sutlonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that in the course of the talks Khairulloyev had expressed satisfaction with present level of bilateral ties and expressed confidence that bilateral ties will develop in future as well.
“We are glad that the OSCE pays serious attention to Tajikistan,” Tajik speaker said, noting that Tajik parliament has done a lot for promoting democratization of society, and providing observance of human rights in the country.
For his part, Ambassador Pryakhin expressed his point of view on state of human rights and freedoms, gender policy, process of democratization of society, as well as progress of political and economic reforms in Tajikistan.
