DUSHANBE, January 8, Asia-Plus  -- On Monday January 7, President Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with participation of senior representatives from president’s office and a number of ministries and organizations to discuss country’s economic results in 2007 and tasks for 2008, presidential press service said.  

The meeting also considered issues related to introduction of a new mechanism of financing of the cotton sector and coordination of work of banks with cotton-growing farms and discussed the implementation of orders given by the president at his meeting with local entrepreneurs.    

The president noted at that meeting that heads of all ministries, organizations and banks would report on the results of work carried out in 2007.  

The head of state set specific tasks on increasing state reserves of fuel, mineral fertilizers and cotton and wheat seeds as well as supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through providing loans to them, presidential press service said.
