DUSHANBE, February 16, 2009, Asia-Plus  -- The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a number of bills at a February 16 meeting, presided over by its speaker, Saydullo Khairulloyev. 

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board, in particular, considered bills on the credit history, donorship of blood and its components, statutory acts, amendments to the country’s law on privatization of state-owned property, state social standards, living wage, and work relief.    

The board also discussed issues related to holding parliamentary hearings on implementation of the national budget for 2008 and considered an agreement on the privileges and immunities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).    

Some of these issues will be considered at the next regular sitting of the fifth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation, the spokesman said.
