DUSHANBE, April 4, 2013, Asia-Plus – Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament has endorsed a draft procedure code of administrative offences.
A regular sitting of the fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the fourth convocation, presided over by its head, Shukurjon Zuhurov, took place on April 3.
Presenting the draft code, Minister of Justice Rustam Mengliyev noted that the document was worked out on the basis of based of the country’s administrative code (Articles 3 and 4), the Majlisi Namoyandagon press center reported.
According to Mengliyev, the procedure code of administrative offences extends the sphere of activities of relevant bodies and authorized persons and specifies their powers for the purpose of protecting human rights and freedoms as well as upholding interests of the state and economic entities.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon deputies yesterday also endorsed amendments proposed to the country’s administrative code and the law on international agreements.
The lower house also approved a number of loan and grant agreements concluded between the Tajik government and international financial institutions, the Majlisi Namoyandagon press center said.
